Description
Your coding agent says it's finished. Something now has to decide what happens to that change: ship it, send it back to the agent, or bring in a person. The change gate is a Python script you run as a git pre-push hook or CI step: it checks the facts in code (files changed, paths outside the plan, test exit code, migrations or dependencies added), applies hard rules first (a failing test returns the change; anything irreversible such as migrations, deleted files, auth or payment paths escalates to a person), and makes one typed Jev call that picks ship, return or escalate with probabilities, a blast-radius score and a needs-a-human check. Your thresholds in code make the final call. Shadow mode logs every decision without blocking until you trust it, and a calibration sheet lets you set thresholds from your own decisions. Three bonus gates are included: research claim, done check, and ask-the-human. Requires your own TypeSafe API key (Jev calls bill to your account), Python 3.12+ and git. Not a code reviewer, not a hosted service; it pairs with Verify Gate.
